Paint the Town Red: What’s Happening in Carencro Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Carencro turns red for UL Lafayette’s Paint the Town Red Homecoming celebration. This year’s theme is “This Is How We Roll… All Together,” and this year, we mean the “all” part literally.

City Hall gets the full treatment: decor, painted windows, the works. But a building in red is just a building. What makes this real is who shows up alongside it, our police and fire departments, Kiwanis, C’est Bon Fest, the Veterans Alliance, our Cultural District, our Business Association, and you.

Why UL’s Paint the Town Red Contest Matters for Carencro

UL judges will be stopping through Acadiana tomorrow, looking for exactly this kind of thing. We’d like to give them something worth talking about. Not because winning is the point, but because a city that can pull off “all together” convincingly, even for one afternoon, is a city worth noticing.

How to Join Carencro’s Paint the Town Red Celebration

Wear red tomorrow. Stop by City Hall anytime between 8:00am and 5:00pm. We’ll have light refreshments waiting, and honestly, that’s the easy part. The harder part, and the one that actually matters, is showing up.

One color. One city. One day to prove what “all together” actually looks like.
