There’s a certain kind of pride that only shows up when a whole town decides to do something together, not one storefront, not one office, but an entire city, moving in the same direction, wearing the same color, for the same reason.

That’s what’s happening in Carencro on Tuesday, September 29th.

What Is Paint the Town Red?

We’re joining UL Lafayette’s Paint the Town Red Homecoming celebration, and instead of decorating one building and calling it done, we’re inviting the whole community to participate. City Hall will be transformed: red decor, painted windows, and Carencro pride on full display.

Who’s Participating in Carencro

We’ve invited organizations from across Carencro, our police and fire departments, Kiwanis, C’est Bon Fest, the Veterans Alliance, our Cultural District, our Business Association, and more, to join us under one idea: “This Is How We Roll… All Together!”

More Than Just a Contest

This isn’t just about a contest, though UL judges will be traveling across Acadiana that day to see how businesses and organizations brought the theme to life. For us, it’s about showing, for one afternoon, what this city could look like when everyone shows up in the same color, for the same reason.

How to Be Part of It

Wear something red on September 29th, and stop by City Hall between 8am and 5pm. We’ll have light refreshments on hand throughout the day.
