Carencro Breaks Ground on a New Chapter for City Hall
Every growing city eventually outgrows the room it started in. Carencro has reached that point, and on Thursday, October 15, at 3:00 pm, the city will break ground on an expansion and renovation of City Hall, 210 E. St. Peter Street, marking the official start of construction.
Why City Hall Is Growing
The project comes as Carencro continues to grow, with more residents, more businesses, and more demand for the services City Hall provides every day. The expansion will add new space to the existing building, while the renovation will update and modernize the facilities already in place, ensuring City Hall can keep pace with a city that shows no signs of slowing down.
“A city hall isn’t just a building. It’s where residents come to be heard, where decisions get made, and where the work of this community actually happens,” said Mayor Charlotte Stemmons Clavier. “As Carencro has grown, so has the need for a City Hall that can grow with it. This expansion is about making sure we can continue serving our residents well, not just today, but for the next generation.”
