Keep Louisiana Beautiful Litter Enforcement Partnership
The city of Carencro has installed new litter enforcement signs throughout the city as part of an ongoing effort to discourage littering, protect public spaces and promote a cleaner community.
The signs were provided through Keep Louisiana Beautiful with support from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor and have been placed at strategic locations.
A total of 15 signs were received and placed throughout the city.
The signs prominently display Louisiana’s litter reporting hotline, 855-LA-LITTER (855-525-4883), which allows residents to report littering observed from a vehicle. Reports may be submitted by providing information about the incident, including the vehicle’s license plate number, location, and description of the littering activity.
The installation supports Carencro’s continued efforts to reduce litter and encourage residents and visitors to help maintain the community’s roadways, waterways and public spaces.
Carencro thanks Keep Louisiana Beautiful and the Office of the Lieutenant Governor for providing the signage and supporting local litter prevention and enforcement efforts.
