Occupational License Renewal Info

Dear Carencro Business Owner:

It will soon be time to renew your Occupational License with the City of Carencro! Beginning December 1, 2024, please visit our new Occupational License Portal (OLP), where you can purchase and/or renew your annual license quickly and easily.

As we transition to this new system together, you will be required, this year, to submit a new Occupational License Application (even if you have done so in prior years) along with your new payment. In the years that follow, most businesses will simply be able to renew their license.

You will be required to continue the previous process of annual payments in order to keep your license in good standing. All businesses are REQUIRED to maintain an active Occupational License in order to conduct business in the City of Carencro. Failure to do so will result in fines and potential further penalties.

The process will have two steps. The first step will require you to fill out some information about your business in an application and submit it. Once we have reviewed that information, we will approve it or contact you if further documentation is needed. Once your application has been approved you will receive and email notifying you of the approval and you may move forward with purchasing your license. All applicable rules and percentages for your license fees will be calculated within the portal and your total will be shown. We accept all major credit cards with a 4 percent fee added to cover processing charges, and ACH bank check which is a free transaction. Once purchased, your physical license will be mailed to you with instructions on how to display it. You may also opt in to receive text and email reminders when your next renewal date approaches.

As this is a new system, we are giving you the entire month of December to renew before late fees and penalties are added. If you have not renewed by January 1, 2025, late fees and penalties will be added to your total.

For questions concerning your Occupational License or technical questions or help using the Occupational License Portal,  please contact Brett Ashy. If you’d rather purchase or renew your license in person, please email Brett to request a meeting time. Please include your phone number with the request.

We hope you’ll appreciate the convenience of our new Occupational License Portal.
