Carencro Improves Handicap Parking for Mercredi Show and C’est Bon Festival
The City of Carencro has made improvements to handicap parking to better accommodate attendees of the Mercredi Show and the C’est Bon Festival. Gravel has been added to enhance parking access, specifically supporting both concert and festival parking and handicap accessibility.
Previously, handicap patrons were directed to park on the grassy areas of the baseball fields, which created two main challenges: wet, soft ground that made walking or maneuvering wheelchairs and walkers difficult, and damage to the outfield with deep ruts.
With the addition of our new gravel handicap parking area, we aim to address these issues and provide a safer, more convenient experience for all of our citizens.
